For several years, Eko Club Dallas in cooperation with ECI has been in the forefront of efforts to promote the political and geographical entity of Lagos State across the United States and beyond. The club has done this by organizing events that are not just social but are in the same vein economically and politically empowering. Eko club Dallas has in some instances, such as in the Orphanage Project "single-handedly" organized promotional and fund-raising events to generate both public awareness and funds for the welfare of the disadvantaged and intellectually-challenged children of an orphanage in Lagos state. These singular acts of charity are still ongoing with the club presently in the process of obtaining a commuter van for these children. In other instances, the club has in concert with ECI organized a US-wide convention to attract businesses and other economic interests to Lagos State.
